Informazioni
Opening the Sheffield International Concert season with a bang the Hallé Orchestra returns with its widely-acclaimed Principal Conductor, Kahchun Wong, now in his third season at the helm. The concert begins with Liszt's symphonic poem, Les preludes, which erupts into a sumptuous melody after its tentative opening, and closes with Stravinsky's dazzling firebird suite, a work alive with colour, rhythmic drive and fairy-tale melodrama. Sir Stephen Hough joins our resident orchestra for Beethoven's majestic "Emperor" Piano Concerto, widely considered by mans fans to be his best with its pure, dreamy second movement and utterly joyous finale. Babies in arms (ages 0-2) are not admitted into the auditorium. All persons aged 14 and under must have a valid ticket and be accompanied by an adult over 18. A max of 8 tickets per person and per household applies. Tickets in excess of 8 will be cancelled. For customers buying stalls tickets, please note that Stalls seating is not tiered and customers may stand during the performance. Standing will NOT be permitted in the Circle or Balcony, due to Health & Safety reasons. Patrons who therefore do not wish to stand during seated concerts need to book tickets in this area.
