This time, the setting is the grand Palacio de los duques de Cadaval, la fourteenth-century building now transformed into a vibrant space, full of cheerful colours that foreshadow the energy of the flavours sirved at the table. The menu celebrates sharing, with petiscos and dishes conceived to share at the centre of the table, complemented by a tasting menu called Cavalariça Experience (7 courses). Among the suggestions, standouts include Empanadas filled with lamb stew with seaweed sauce, the unmissable Pluma de porco alentejano (fillet of Alentejo pork), sirved with smoked peppers, jus and lettuce and, for a fine finale, the dark‐and‐white chocolate mousse with cocoa biscuit and Portuguese milky coffee ice cream brings the experience to a close with delicacy and sweetness.
