"Phil" was founded in 1998 by members of the rock group "Amnesia". Singer Jürgen Mayer had long proposed to give the group a new musical direction and start a Phil Collins/Genesis project. The idea was not taken from the clouds, after all singer Jürgen is an absolute Phil Collins fan and connoisseur. He looks visually very similar to the English megastar, and better: his voice comes very close to that of the original. "Amnesia" also had one or the other Collins title - such as "In the Air Tonight" - in the program and was stormed by many fans to include even more Collins titles in the program. Mr. Phil Collins himself, with whom the band has been in close contact for years, recommends that lovers of his music visit a “Phil” concert. For the tenth anniversary he congratulated personally! Leland Sklar, longtime bassist and companion of Phil Collins, congratulated 2023 with a personal video message for the 25th band anniversary. Around the frontman Jürgen Mayer, the band brings an impressive setup to the stage with bass, guitar, percussions, e-drums, drums, keyboards, saxophone, trombone, trumpet and background singers and delivers a highly professional stage show.
