Klassik trifft Jazz - Melodie und Rhythmus im Einklang In dieser Performance trifft klassische Musik auf komplexe Rhythmen und Harmonien des Jazz. Ebert und Meyerhöfer begeistern sich schon seit Längerem für Jazzstandards, die sie auch immer wieder als Zugaben in früheren Konzerten spielten. Diesmal jedoch wollen sie ihr Jazz-Repertoire noch einmal deutlich erweitern:  Der legendäre unkrainische Komponist Nikolai Kapustin vereint in seiner Cello-Sonate Nr. 2 klassische Formen mit Jazzharmonien. Auch der letzte Satz der Sonate von Moritz Ebert ist stark von Kapustins Musik inspiriert. Wir freuen uns auf einen vielseitigen und lebendigen Abend mit euch. Cellist Moritz Ebert and pianist Meyerhöfer have long been enthusiastic advocates of jazz standards, frequently featuring them as encores in past performances. For this concert, they take that passion a step further, presenting a program that places jazz influences center stage. At its core is Cello Sonata No. 2 by the legendary Ukrainian composer Nikolai Kapustin, whose music seamlessly blends classical structures with the harmonic and rhythmic language of jazz. The final movement of Moritz Ebert’s Sonata also draws significant inspiration from Kapustin’s distinctive style. Join us for an evening of musical diversity, virtuosity, and lively interplay between two worlds that have more in common than one might expect.
