As the smallest of the family, Tuva had a childhood where she was overwhelmed with love and attention. And standing in front of people, making shows, singing, dancing, pussy, silly and showing up was always part of her upbringing. But there is one thing about all this that doesn’t vote. She's not quite healthy. About one in five Norwegians live with one or more diseases that are invisible. It can be anything from migraines, rheumatoid diseases, endometriosis, low metabolism, epilepsy, ME, MS, various stomach/thrombi diseases such as Ulceros Colitis or Morbus Crohns to mention just some. But while many people live with these diseases, there is too little talk about how it can be to live with them. TURVA GO is a notion of the burden of having a chronic disease as a companion through life, and is an attempt to show a bit of how a life as a chronician can be experienced for those who stand in that struggle every day. It is hoped that through this play, we can all learn to become a little warmer fellow men and see each other a little more, with all that it implies. The idea involves fasting to troubles, blood, side effects, medications, misunderstandings, and, not least, sun-proof in all its shine. This is my love letter to all the invisible sick out there who deserve to be seen. Welcome to TUVA!
