A clementine is an absurd drama comedy about façades. In the play we meet two characters locked to each other. 1 and 2 both have their bare feet. They stand in a constant inner struggle and try to win power and school their problems. Due to previous choices, effective defense mechanisms, lack of self-awareness and empathy, the characters have stuck in a scratching pattern. Hopefully they will break out and find a meaningful life. A hope so strong that they are willing to do everything (this species themselves in desperate, comic and cruel ways). The piece dives into the uncomfortable. Through a dysfunctional relationship that at first glance seems surreal, deeply human questions are addressed. What façades do you wear? What services do you make yourself and others? Who are you without relationships? And what is happiness? The audience can expect an entertaining performance full of laughter, then go home and cry.
