2006. The sleepy village of Øyjorda is gathered to witness the most remarkable event in man's memory. For the first time in 400 years, the sun will be completely hidden by a total solar eclipse. Alex Larken, a restless teenager with a love for storytelling, excavates her mother's old video camera to document this unique experience. But when the moon passes and the day comes back, not everything is exactly as it was before. As strange events begin to pile up, Alex is pulled down into a rabbit hole of paranormal investigation, until she mysteriously disappears and just leaves her camera to tell the story. Now, twenty years later, a documentary team arrives at Øyjorda to find out what happened and examine the repercussions of this intertwined community. Combining the footage of her camera with interviews of those closest to Alex, they put together her story and reconstruct the journey that led to her disappearance. But the truth is rarely simple, and the story rarely goes straight forward. When history is a story about a story, how can we know what is really true? And when the evidence begins to point to the impossible, what are we willing to believe to make the pieces fit together? <> is a sci-fi dokudrama for a post-specific society.
