"I get giddy over good stage gore and this is some top-tier stuff. It’s a long journey to get to that point, but once you’re there it is some of the finest “so gross but I can’t look away” theatrical violence I’ve seen in a long time. If there was one aspect of the show that needed to be nailed, it was that. Thankfully, Women Who Eat nails it in a couple more departments as well — clearly defined characters with strong performances, dialogue that revels in a sort of morose playfulness, razor sharp timing, and a little something to say about how eating disorders are treated in our society" “The first sin was a woman who ate.”  In this irreverent DARK COMEDY, 6 hysterical women are stranded when their Eating Disorder Recovery Center on a remote island loses power during a generational storm. The inhabitants are forced to grapple with whether or not they want to survive, and if they can accept the women they become. The island becomes a war zone, as the women fight tooth-and-nail to become “Top Dog.” As they struggle for power and control, their only choice is to eat.
