Free is a playful family performance. Through trial, error and new attempts, we explore the rules, imagination and community of the game. The audience is invited into a universe where curiosity and play without age limits are at the centre. What does the world look like when we get up? Can you get too old to play? What happens when someone starts to make their own rules? In FREE, we meet Tamar, Mari and Mikael, who explore the frameworks and rules of famous children's toys. We try, fail and try again. What happens when one can no longer touch the floor, while another can just stand on your hands? Together we examine how we relate to each other, to the rules of the game and to the feelings that arise in interaction. How much can we lift alone -- and how much can we lift together? Through the game that unfolds, we explore what it means to be part of a community. What makes us feel included and what happens when our ideas are not heard or understood. Free is a performance that examines both the joy and vulnerability of the free play. It invites the audience to reflect on collaboration, disagreement and the place of play in our lives. With this performance we have traveled Europe, played for children and adults of all ages and experienced how the show opens up curiosity around bodily expression and imagination. It has opened up common experiences across languages, age and physical conditions. Welcome to the game.
