Hartwood has full of estate. This Tulum hot spot was launched in 2010 by New Yorkers and husband and wife, Eric Werner and Mya Henry. Since then, the place has aged a lot following, and it's packed overnight with eager diners who come here as much for the environment as the food. In high season, you'll need to book well in advance, though only diners can almost always find a perch at the bar. It's the essence of behind dining here in this jungle-like setting where the menu is everchanging. Consult the blackboard for the day's offers, all based on what's fresh at the market, though ceviche and grilled local fish are likely candidates.
