From 1889 until his death, this was the residence of Frank B. Kellogg (1856–1937), lawyer, U.S. Senator, and diplomat. As Secretary of State (1925–29), he negotiated the Kellogg-Briand Pact (1928), for which he received the Nobel Peace Prize, and shifted foreign policy away from interventionism.[6] Photo: McGhiever, CC BY-SA 3.0, via Wikimedia Commons (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Frank_B._Kellogg_House.jpg)
